Default clutch grind

Hey i have an excedy race clutch in my Z6 it is about 9 months old. the tranny has 120k on it. When i shift in to 2nd and 3rd it doesn't fully grind but chrips. Is that a Presure plate/clutch problem or is it a Slave cylinder prob. the SC has 168k on it. Also where can i find a stainless steel clutch line?

Could be either. If double-clutching makes the problem disappear, I would look closely at the slave. Hell, it's the cheapest to replace.

almost sounds like a trowout bearing? I could be wrong but they kinda squeek when they are going out.

its not a squeek, its a grind but not a long one. It engages but not fully, thats all.

Mine does a similar thing on the second to third shifts. I also have a z6 motor and tranny. From my research I think its the infamous Honda synchro problem. Does it ever not shift fully into third gear? Also, is it on every shift or just at higher rpm's?

sounds pretty normal to me, try shifting into one of the other gears before trying to put it in reverse...

Yeah, mine won't go into reverse sometimes. I just put it in 4th first, then shift to reverse. Seems to work for me.
