Yes, it's possible... but like everyone else has said, tuning = everything.

well i want to be able to drive the thing on the street but not always while running high boost. Just want to be able to turn it up when needed and not destroy my entire motor.

You can drive your car without ever hitting boost. I keep mine at 10 psi daily and some days I drive all the way to work (about 15/20 min) and never hit boost.

Are you kidding me? A few guys have hit 300 whp on just a blockguard/arp studs. You're gonna need a decent sized turbo though not some greddy 15G pea shooter.

My suggestion is tear the head off, slap in a block guard, arp studs and get a fresh headgasket (stock). Get a T3 based tubular or log mani, Precision SC50 or just some t3/t04E 50 trim turbo, 2.5" downpipe, AFC hack and a 3 bar then carefully go tune and crank up the boost.

I would have a spare block if you were gonna go this route. Or just get some pistons/rods/your block honed and you should be safe.

BTW i have a tubular D16 T3 mani for sale from South Florida Performance and a SC50 turbo for 1000 in the FS section.
