So if the upper ball joints are bad, you have to replace the whole control arm?... if that's the case then I'm just gonna get the Skunk2 Camber kit that comes with the adjustable control arms.
wow so its possible to remove and install new ones with the compression tool? I just tore mine with the incorrect tool from Autozone when replaceing my axles. Stupid Autozone damn morons
The only specialized tool that I used was a ball joint fork. Other than that, I used a hammer and a large socket (as posted above) to remove the lower balljoint from the hub. There's a metal ring on the inside of the spindle that needs to come out, but will pop off when a flathead is used on it. With that off, you can see how the balljoint comes out.
The upper 2 in the A arm are not replaceable and you must replace the whole A arm to get new upper balljoints.
