suspension?
I want to buy a suspension kit for my 97 civic ex. I dont have too much money, and i dont know that much about suspension tuning. these are the kits that look appealing to me:
-Tokico illumina adjustable suspension-$565.00-no pillow ball mounts
-www.tokicogasshocks.com
-tokico hp series suspension-$359.99-no pillow ball mounts
-tein basic damper-$750.00- no pillow ball mounts
-www.tein.com
-tanabe sustec pro-oc type 2- $750.00
-www.tanabeusa.com
obviously i am more interested in the tokico suspension kits because they are cheaper, but i do not know if they are quality, or would be worth the price. If you have a different set to suggest or reviews or links to paces that could aid my decision, your help would be greatly appreciated. thanx

ive heard nothing but good things from the tokickos, but if you want cheaper and good quality there are also Koni's, I like my friends koni yellows alot , he has yellows with ground controls. but anyway I have also heard good things about the Tein's, not sure about the tanabes.
you dont have to do a suspension that comes complete like that just so you know
You can buy shocks (KYB AGX's, Koni Yellows etc) and get some springs/coilovers...H&Rs, Ground Control, Skunk2 etc:thumbup:

im pretty naive on the subject of suspension. I know that you don't have to buy them in kits, but i read that if you only modify one part of the suspension you could damage other components of it. i also thought it would be cheaper to buy as a set as opposed to individualy; and i thought that the same brand parts would work better if they were mathced up with themselves. but, like i said i pretty much have no clue what am talking about. thank you guys for the feedback. and if there are some quality set-ups that you guys have let me know. thanx-peace
