Well...
The B16A is a JDM equivalant to the B16A3 (Del Sol motor). The B16A2 is the '99-'00 Si motor.
Honda first stunned the world with the introduction of B16A in 1989. A mass-produced normally aspirated engine that hit the magic 100 hp/liter - 160 hp out of 1.6 liter of displacement. B16A has been the benchmark of 1.6 liter engines since then. As of today, you can pretty much classify B16A into four distinctive era. I am going to call them B16A G1, B16A G2, B16A G3, and B16B 98 SpecR.
B16A G1 - The original motor introduced in JDM 1989 Civic/CRX (EF body) and JDM 1989 Integra (DA body)
B16A G2 - From JDM 1992-1995 Civic (EG body)
B16A G3 - From JDM 1996+ Civic (EK body)
B16B - From the JDM 1997+ Civic Type-R

research.
find pics.
get to know people with similar cars.
know what you want/need/can afford.
don't go for cheap parts, but don't past down good deals. ($175 for CTR headlamps and front slotted/drilled rotors = good deal
)
do what you want.
and of course, have fun. but not too much fun, since fast and furious ruined it
a suggestion..... jdm is good
