Most sacreligious question ever...
I know this is horrible and wouldn't actually do it, but I have a friend who can't drive stick and I was thinking... the theory behind Honda engines and trannies is that any two of the same series can hook straight up, for example bolting a b18 or b20 series into a civic. Would it be possible to bolt the 4A from an Integra LS into a Sol (or worse, an ITR)? I mean, it should be possible, but of course I haven't heard of it being done and I'm just curious, even my friend admitted he'd never do that to a Sol VTEC or ITR...

Anyway, if you do a b series swap, and throw in the b auto tranny, as far as I know it should work in a car that started as an auto. When I Was was researching my auto to manual swap, I seem to remember finding info saything that it would work... Don't quote me on it.

Be a REAL friend and teach him to drive stick. He'll thank you later.
Yeah... the problem is he lives in NYC and driving a stick there is pretty much intractable. He says as long as he's living there he won't put in the time to learn stick, since he won't be able to use it for now. He also said he'd never actually make an automatic ITR or Sol VTEC, this was just something that occurred to me while we were discussing cars one day because I've read all these tales of auto to manual swaps, but of course never the other way around, so I wanted to find out if it was possible.
On a somewhat related topic, is there any 6 speed manual that can be swapped into a Sol VTEC with limited work?
