It's a common civic problem..that and the windshield wiper arms

Get a can of Krylon flat black spray paint and mask it off REALLY GOOD. Just take newspaper and some masking tape then go to town. I'd sand it a bit first though...like a 400 grit then a 800 grit after the first couple coats I wouldn't risk taking it off. I think it's glued on or something
I didn't know it was such a common problem. I have to do mine too.

usually the trim pieces have like 2 screw on the back then pop off...and if you don't want to use a razor to get any overspray off...steel wool works the best

i had a simlar problem with my trim on my eg, but it would be faded black, and not so good looking. i popped off the pieces that would come off (to reveal a but load of leaves and crap) and just simply hosed em down, and then painted them with basic black primer, nothing fancy and it did the job great, and if i felt bored, i would use clear coat on em, dont know if i used enough to make a difference though.

The wiper arms have some locks on it where it snaps in. When you take the bolt off...take a flat head screw driver, and pry it off. Take your time and be gentle...sometimes you can just wiggle the F*ck out of it until it comes off.

Yea, you need a flat head to ease it off. I forgot, been a while since I took em off.
