Default able to pass emissions w/ burning oil??

I was just wondering if my 96 civic can pass emissions test when it burns about 1 quart every 1,500 miles. BTW it gots 194k miles.

if you get blue smoke when you gas it, then no.

and it would be close with the sniffer.

I think the sniffer is the machine they place on your tailpipe...dunno just a guess.

Yes.

If the smoke is visible, it is an automatic failure here in VA. Same with any holes in the exhaust, missing equipment, or having the CEL come on.

i notice smoke comes out only after i start car and then i 1st gas it
