Are the ebay short shifters any good or worth getting they range form 9 bucks all the way to 80 for an obx all the others are no name or APC.Are they any good or is it a waste of money?Let me know.Thanks

As concearning the eBay shifter...many people have them in their cars and say it is better than stock. Some say that the shifter itself broke when shifting "too hard". Some say save and buy a $100 Skunk2 one (Dual Bend). Personally, I've heard too many stories of short shifters putting too much stress on the transmission's syncros and at the end...they failed. Needed new trannies. I wouldn't run one. If you want a shorter throw, I've heard swapping in a GSR shifter/shifter linkage is the way to go. Shorter throws without putting any damage to the tranny. My 2 cents.

 

i was reading up on them are all short throw shifter taller than stock?or are some actually shorter?

 

B&M is close to exact replacement... lovin mine

 

i dont know about people who breaking short shifters. when you shift its supposed to be a simple flick of the wrist. well thats how my accord was before. unless people think they're playing racing jam or something.

 

Cheap shifters break.
