Taking off crank pulley
I removed the flywheel cover on the bottom of the engine, jammed a big screwdriver in there, pinned it between the teeth of the flywheel and....the header I believe, then took socket, wrench and big pipe, and kicked the pipe on the wrench till it loosened. Took one good kick!

I have the Moroso tool and a 500 ft/lb impact but before that I used to use a chain wrench and a big ass breaker bar. The chain wrench works but is a pain in the ass. The before mentioned ways could potential damage stuff. With my impact I barely have to hit it and it comes off. But my crank pulley has been off like twenty times so on a car where it has never been off, it will be much harder. Other companies make tools like the moroso wrench but they are expensive. Just rent a chain wrench from autozone.
Okay, I know how to hold the crank pulley. I use the chain wrench method and it works fine on my car. When I do my buddy's car, the bolt doesn't budge at all. (It's never been off, EVER!) His water pump leaks so we need to get it done.
We only have hand tools. But a 500lb impact will do it? Okay, I can proabably get the bolt loose at a shop then...
