That totally sucks. Sorry dude. As everyone's already said, you definitely should have gotten some info...but I can understand that first time accidents are pretty stressful and you often miss things. Next time, you'll know.

About the bumper, I would also consider checking with some Honda dealerships to see if you can pick up an already painted bumper. Then you might be able to sell off your current one someday. Or you can just try cleaning it and polishing it and living with it. Bummer that it's a brand new car though.

Look on the bright side, at least that bicyclist isn't dead. Running a red light is a horrible choice to make for a bicyclist or a motorcyclist. So hopefully that guy learned his lesson too....

I would also try www.partmartone.com and see if they have anything for the new civics. I got a bumper from them and it's great. They'll even paint it for you so you can have it all done at once and since your car is brand new, you really wouldn't need to worry about paint matching much.

anyway, i would've whopped his ass for doin something so stupid- u could have killed him and it would have been ur fault, and that would suck to have on ur concieonse(spelling ) but most importantly, he scratched your ride

 

no need to buy a new bumper.... you could patch it up with some of the bumper/rubber bondo stuff. you could try to touch it up yourself, or have the bumper repainted professionally. at a cheap shop here in LA, you could get a bumper painted for around $150
