Noticed my front fender well cover wasn't popped in, looked in there at the filter (AEM CAI on my car) and noticed that the filter fell off from the metal part that is attached to the tube (think... filter unit unassembled itself)

so for god knows how long its been like that

It was a cheapo cone filter that my buddy bought for his car,wrong size. He was too lazy to return it so he gave it to me. I swap between that and my K&N cone filter that came with my AEM. I had meant to put my K&N back on a few weeks and 1000 miles ago.

I've got my dad sending my K&N to me. For the time being I reglued the filter back togeather.

My engine is probably scorched with all kinds of debris now.

You got a dirty motor lol Spray some carb cleaner in there and burn it out !

 

Haha, that really sucks. Don't worry about it to much if it seems to be running fine, but I agree with Honura. Try to clean it out...

Don't say that man ! I hit a ditch the other day and cracked my tranny on my dickx and im not gonna buy another d series tranny even if I have to push my civic where I need to go . I did some nigga rig job on it today so it will not leak I will take some pictures of it and post it lol .

shitty luck my friend....as honura says, try the carb cleaner just to make sure.

 

I'm gonna change my oil not too far off from now, i'm gonna grab one of those complete cleaner shit where you put it in your oil, 5 min later drain your oil to make sure all the shit is out.
