What's all being done to it?

Sleeves, rods, pistons, bore+hone, ... ?

I hope there's new sleeves in that estimate. That's pretty pricey, even including labor.

Why in the world would anyone want to spend 3500$ to rebuild an engine they could get brand new from honda for a few hundreds less. Getting a B18 swap would be the smart and/or logical thing to do to get best bang for buck. It might be just like everyone else because everyone you see with a swap has common sense.

A built d-series will destroy a B18 swap.

do you think that a New d16 would be able to take 16 psi for very long? didnt think so... Oh and a b18 swap huh? 3500 for the engine + all the other goodie you have to buy when things go wrong? but what happens when you break your b18, you better have deep pockets. Or even if you were talking about a b18b, sure that sounds fun, more tq, but oh wait? spending twice as much to turbo it? man, mark one up for the D.

The only way i would take a dohc, if i was doing what wcs is doing...

I'm also considering rebuilding my d-series engine, although it's an a6. I would do it myself though. $3500 seems high to me just for the block.

Gee sir, how long do you think that swap will last under my 25 PSI of boost?
