sorry i tried searching but my browser sucks.

my friend is gonna be running a NOS 50 shot. he got zex plugs and a ignition setup coming in. do you recommend he retard his cam or timing? what else does he need?

:chuckles: okay okay,..just to into a little bit more detail,..if you run a 75 shot and up,...you might want to adjust the timing

what if his cam is already advanced 3 degrees would there be any downfalls to running NOS with an advanced cam?

doesn't cam timing indirectly advance ignition timing? if that is the case then yes, thats bad... overly advaned ignition will cause detonation.. does your friend have an aftermarket cam springs and retainers? because that is the only reason i could see to push the powerband up higher?
