Car won't Start
I'm not sure what kind of posts are normaly up here because I just registered and this is my first post. Anywayz I have a 1994 Honda Civic EX, I just bought about 2 months ago. It has been runing perfectly, no problems what so ever. This morning I drove it home, which was like a five min drive, then parked it in my driveway like normal. Had no problems or symptoms or anything. I go out about 2 hours later to start it up and it won't start. The Engine cranks, it feels like its close to starting but just cranks and cranks. The battery is fine, I even tried jumping it, still just cranks but won't start. It has had no problems at all. Always started up perfectly and very quickly. The only thing I have been able to find on-line is info on the main relay going bad, and I am going to swap it with my brothers later tonight to see if that does the trick. but if its not that, what else could it be? Why just like that, boom, it won't start. Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Dan

Ya, lol, but I checked all that. All the fuses are good, all the wires are on tight. What would be the most likely thing that would just stop working and not intermitantly die out. Allot of older posts talk about the ignition coil, and the ignitor... but I da-no

Could be a lot of things who knows . Just keep looking everything can mess up at any given time you know !
could be the ignitor, fuel relay, fuel pump, very clogged fuel filter, the rotor, distributor cap, or more.
Are you getting spark?
Also, put in your key and turn it to the on position. Does the engine check light go out after a couple seconds?
I had a similar problem to this, and it was my security system. Some how it got a short in it or something. I took it to honda and they said it was not letting power go to my ecu. I had the security system taken out and now my problem is fixed.

I guess I should replace the plugs/wires even distributor cap first, they probably need replaced anyways. The check engine light doesn't stay on for more than the 2 seconds either. After all that, should I replace the ignition coil or what first?
