WTF new turbo isn't spooling?!?!

He is running open downpipe right now, so the cat issue doesnt apply. Also we did check to make sure the turbo spins by hand, and it does.

Hes missing a exhaust manifold stud from the block, so it does have an exhaust leak, but only one is off, all the rest are on. Would that be enough to cause it not to spool?

got the problem figured out...


in our 3 am stupor we bolted the wrong side of the tial wg to the manifold so the dumptube side was on manifold. We also hooked up the vaccum lines wrong. I had the top one running straight to a mbc and the bottom one straight to the turbo.

My friend chris called me and told me to leave the top one open and run the bottom one to the intake manifold and plug up the turbo. If i want to run a mbc i just splice it inline between the wg and intake mani.

BC = boost controller
