that's DEPTH? That means I could easily fit components in there.

I have an Infinity Kappa Component set up in my sol, but its in the front as for the back stay with the stock size 6.5 it will sound fine. Just amp them up and the infinities will sound great. Oh but before you go and buy crutchfield look at justcarspeakers you can find the same stuff for a little cheaper.

No, that's across the metal ring. Depth is perhaps 3"+ a little. I have 1/2" spacers to move my speakers forward (the spiders on the Polks are wide and flat-- wider than the rings). The only physical problem with componets would be the design of the OEM grilles... the sonics are another issue altogether.

That site isn't proving itself to be very useful...

I buy from high rated ebay sellers. With the spacers, can you still fit the grill panels on? I just want to fit some Infinities back there, but I want to use the stock grill.

So long as they don't have an ungodly large tweeter, they'll fit. I have plenty of clearance between cone and grille.

i've got fosgate hpc series fronts and rears 6 3/4" . your infinity's will fit. with slight modification

FRONT- take out plastic speaker bracket on door. just to see if yours fit if not dremel until they do. dynomat , then drill new holes

BACK- a bit trickier, have to take speaker cover and cut out the white dividers on the inside. then set new speaker in bracket
if you get two holes to line up it will work. if not you need to modify the bracket.

its easier than it sounds took me about 3 hours total to figure out/install

with stock grills looks perfect
