Default B16 For $220 worth it?????????

i was just wondering if i should buy a b16 form a 99 civic si form my frend for only $220 for the motor and tranny the only little detail with it its that his car got stolen and its burned to the ground ... MY question is what would i have to replace on it beside sensors, wires, hoses ......WOuld i need to redo gaskets and all what about piston rings?, rod bearings, head valves or anything? what about the tranny ? well im just paying the money for the whole car i have to go and get it out if i dont get it he wants 500 for the whole car for anyone else if i dont get it ill tell you all ok :thumbup:

Well, not knowing how much damage the fire may have caused the engine, I'd say it's prolly worth $220.

Impossible to say without at least pics. For all we know, plastic hose melted and oozed inside the block. Or sensors could be essentially welded in place... or - depending on the heat - certain things could be warped beyond repair.

On the other hand, it could be totally fine.

We need pics!
