Welcome to the boards EBPSI. There are threads discussing this topic already. PLEASE use the search tool in the future prior to posting a new topic.

To answer your question, taking the fuse out will do nothing. You would need to take the belt off the pulleys at the very minimum. Doing so will not really add horse power, but will allow more horse power from the engine to make it to the wheels since there is one less component to turn. Also removing all the power steering components will help with weight reduction.
