yeah i feel you i have 2 tascam pro recorders which will use any kind of CD-r/CD-RW that takes audio (cuz some dont). one recorder is only a recorder/player (single drive unit) and the other allows me to burn a copy at 8speed (dual drive unit)
I feel ya....TASCAM is good shit....used their tape decks and they were killer....I used to do their public relations at a company out on the Island...I wound up going with one of the first consumer recorders on the market, the Marantz DR700, which makes awesome digital recordings, they pretty much sound like the original; and I always burn at real time speed; I like to hear my songs I am recording. BUT this Marantz will ONLY take the consumer grade CD-Rs, with the AUDIO ONLY stamp on em; professional recorders like your TASCAMs will pretty much use any kind of blank.
