This mod isn't hard at all to do, but the way described above is the half-assed way to do it. You need: 2 3" strap hinges (as shown above), and 2 2" bolt locks (for doors). the hinges work the same way as shown above, but there is a better, more secure way to secure them. unbolt your trunklid, and have a friend hold it off to the side of your car so you don't have to disconnect any wiring/cables. thke the 3" strap hinges, and bolt them into the side of the arms that the trunklid used to be facing, with the hinges facing the correct way so the lid will be able to fold down. Now, put your trunklid back on, using the lower mounting bolts only, because the top ones should be blocked by the hinges. secure the hinges to the trunklid (I just drilled holes & used machine screws w/ washers on the back for more stability). Take your Bolt locks & secure them to the trunklid itself, on the inside of the arms. you will want them situated so that once you drill holes into your arms, the bolt will be able to slide right in & hold the trunklid secure. This way, you don't have to unbolt anything when you want to flip your trunk down.
