OOOOOOOOOOOOOH, i get it..... people are just puttin a hinge on the original trunk brackets. Well shit, the reason i couldnt figure it out, its that my trunk is different, it doesnt have 2 arms commin from under the roof of the trunk. mine are outside the weather strip and are kinda cris-crossed extender bar things..... I guess it cant be done on my car

anyone know if it can still be done with this kind of hinge???

when did they put the arms under the hood celing?
this is a 93 4dr, did they only do it like that on the 2dr?

looks like if u really want to do it all ud have to do is remove one of the bolts preferably the bottom one so the trunk would swing down and attach the hydrolic's to the same spot (have everything attached to only one point,while keeping the hydrolics in there to keep it open), ur trunk would just swing around on the bolt when it was up, which is why i wouldnt suggest it but its entirely possible if thats what u want to do to ur car.
