Some of these kid have never worked a day in their lives and they drive brand new cars, dont pay for gas or insurance. Dont care if they fvck up the car cause mommy and daddy will fix everything. Cant shelter them forever, they have to learn some responsibility sometime. i agree with both of these. i didn't have to work to get my car. i did have to work for gas money though. but being spoiled has pretty much ruined me. i still don't know "the value of a dollar", because i've never had to. it's not like my family is rich, my grandparents have just always been willing to give to me. i wish they wouldn't have, because now i still can't save money (not having a good paying job doesn't help) and i still depend on them in certain situations, and it pretty much sucks. but i have paid for everything that i've done to my car.
