The B18C's are supposed to scream a bit louder than the H22's...odd. Are you past any scheduled maintenance?
Also, you should be hearing a definite boost in noise from 6,000+ rpm. Not sure if I should explain why (you may want to look up exactly what happens on B18C1s versus B18C5s when the big cam switches)
but try driving your car again and see if it screams from 6,000+ rpm.
