Here's a prime example. Nobody makes a short shifter that's as short as the del sol's. I'm not talking about throw, but length of the shifter itself. The del Sol has a shorter shifter than the Civic and Integra, but if you buy an aftermarket one for the del Sol, it's the same part number as the Civics which means your new aftermarket shifter is a few inches taller than your stock one which defeates the purpose of have shorter throws.
