Nissan must've taken the 175hp number when they dyno tested the ENGINE before hooking it up to a trans and axles and putting wheels on them. you're gonna lose power between the crank and the wheels, so them claiming 175hp (they meant to say "bhp" but neglected to do so) and the car putting 140 to the ground sounds about right.
Go with the honda if you're going for performance. go with the nissan if your girlfriend wants a family soon!
