4. You view your car as a fashion statement (or you would never have brought up that styling/2 yr fact)
First of all, when I talk about chrome wheels and the like for bling bling, its not for ENVIOUS factors; I dont want people to ENVY me, so please do me a favor and dont say that because its not what I mean. I would like a bimmer for the same reasons everyone else would want one; I mean, its probably and incredibly engineered automobile and would feel tight as J Lo's ass after a couple of years behind the wheel----but the other factors you mention here can be found in other vehicles in other classes....grunt? Can get that in the sexy Grand Prix or the new Bonneville coming out, or even in the 300M. And fashion statement? Who WOULDNT buy a 2 DOOR COUPE as a fashion statement? Thats why I bought my coupes in the first place---sacrificing the rear doors BETTER earn me more sexy looks, or whats the point? But it doesnt HAVE to be a bimmer next time around for it to qualify as a fashion statement....
A bimmer fits that criteria nicely.
I want to clarify something:
There is nothing ghetto about an older Legend or ES250. They are old cars, that actually still surpass your car (and my own) in terms of refinement and possibly even styling. They are obviously more popular with the ghetto fabulous because they can't afford more, but there are still many older affluent people who drive them because they are good cars. They really only beome ghetto when you put fade mirror tint, gold trim, crazy body kits and chrome wheels on them, but if that's what floats that person's boat, so be it.
Well, what I was saying was those cars ARE ghetto machines in the surrounding areas of my home in places like Flatbush, Maspeth, Glendale, Crown Heights....my point was that I was OBSERVING that these kids are running around ENDANGERING OTHER MOTORISTS' LIVES with the way they drive in these GHETTOED OUT import vehicles that look and run like shit anway---I have been seriously injured in accidents in other cars I have owned by these wild kids in their ghetto cruisers because they run reds, speed, cut people off, and simply ram into other cars in parking lots because they actually BELIEVE they have struck gold by purchasing a 3,000 91 Legend....they BELIEVE they are driving Ferraris, in THEIR minds....I know the breed....they BELIEVE they own the road now that they got a used Lexus with gold badging on it....BELIEVE ME this is the way it works in the ghetto boroughs of NYC.
That's my opinion on the mods that you want to do. I'd never do any of them. The adage less is more comes to mind.
Hondas are not the be all end all by any means. Anybody that believes that is either joking or simply a dumbass. I am a car nut and can appreciate any car even the tepid 3 cyl Geo Metro's. I would not own just any car, but I can appreciate different things about them. After about 10 years/95,XXX miles , my baby, a 94 EX Coupe, still looks good and performs well for my needs.
I noticed the picture of your car; that looks EXCELLENT for a 94...I had a 94 EX Coupe---just like yours---in the Frost White---before this 99....
You did compare your car to a 3800 V6 (check the hood of your buds beloved GP ). That motor rocks, is tough as hell, and pounds down the dead dinosaur juice like we live in Kuwait. But its also noisy, vibrates and doesn't have much life past 4000 rpms....
I didnt compare his to mine per se, I simply said his vehicle would bang the ballsacks off these imports and that he has NEVER been in the shop for ANY of his GM products---and it was a Grand Am, not a Grand Prix, GT, and I dont think he had the 3800 Series II V6---that engine is under the hood of the Grand Prix.
But like I said before, don't put money into a car that you will not ultimately be happy with. Save it for a newer and better car. Don't blow your load.

BTW I include the pic of my car just to demonstrate where I am coming from stylistically..
