First of all, there should be NO reason for getting in anyone's face, whatsoever.

Youre whining at this point about how much your car sucks (which it may or may not). Did you really not notice its blandness when you bought it and optioned it up at the dealer?

I am NOT whining----stop saying that and putting words in my mouth, please....I know what tone I am taking and its NOT whining---you are on LI, so if you would like, we can swap phone numbers and you can HEAR what kind of tone I am taking on this one----you are way off because Im NOT whining. And did I notice the blandness when I first bought it and optioned it up at Honda City? No, cant say that I did---it seemed the styling still had its NOVELTY back then; it was only in its second year of that body style cycle, and it seemed aggressive enough for me back then, but if you have read any reports about automotive marketing trends, you will know that two door sports coupes have intensely short "shelf lives" due to their tendency to fall out of fashion very quickly with the demographic buying them----and THATS what has happened with the 98-02 Accord Coupes; there is no denying this. At the dealer, in 1999, it was a TOTALLY different story than what it is now. The novelty of the car's styling has worn off; you honestly disagree with this? How can that possibly be?

I am a big fan of American cars in terms of their bang for the buck, but I don't think I'd ever own one short of an XLR (maybe), just because they really tend to be uglier and have hideous interiors.

Uglier? That is ridiculous....there isnt an import on the road that can compare to the design manipulations coming out of DaimlerChrysler's home fort; the GM branded mid sizers competing with the likes of the Accord and Solara BLOW AWAY the styling themes of the imports; the other night my Accord, with body kit and all, was parked next to a Grand Prix GTP sedan in white, tinted out....made my car look like an economy vehicle in comparison....the Grand Prix was wider, lower, meaner, more aggressive....my Accord with the skinny tires and high stance looked completely out of its class next to the GTP, and they compete IN the same class. The interiors of the American cars are MUCH more exciting than in the imports, too.

You compare your car to a 285 hp venerable S/C'd 3800 pushrod??? Of course your fuel efficient N/A 200 hp V6 honda is going to pale in performance comparison, but you seem more intent on making your car look good than perform well.

When did I compare it to a 3800 pushrod?

You are constantly on the defensive. I actually liked you when you first started asking about your car, and was really into helping out a fellow LI'er. I still want to help you out.

Oh, great...thanks for your input....Im on the defensive because YOU put me there by attacking every one of my points, and you are continuing to do so. So how are you helping me out? YOU are creating the person being defensive.

You are lashing out at all the ghetto superstars, but at the same time you seem to want to be one.

Not true. I dont have an 88 Legend with 20" chrome dubs and a Rayco body kit, nor do I want them.

People with no money (like myself) have to learn to content themselves with dreaming about hooking up their cars, instead of plotting how to do so. You have had the sense to realize there are "ghetto" styles to hooking up a car, but you only lambast them for using styles that you want to use on "lesser" cars like old Legends and ES250/300's. Is the style "ghetto" or are the cars "ghetto"? I think since you like the styles that youre implying that the cars themselves are ghetto. That is not possible. These were fine luxury cars in their day and some people appreciate that over a new boring car (think 6gen V6coupe) and others just can't afford anything better, and others want to be ghetto fabulous and pretend they are superstars although they aren't.

Oh please man, these cars ARE ghetto once this shit is added to them, no matter what you say----ALL my friends from the Queens area know kids with these cars and even the kids THEMSELVES admit they are driving ghetto machines----PLEASE dont even argue this with me; second generation Maximas, Legends, ES250s....they have all become the "cruisers of choice" for the hood.

You go on and on about how slow your car is, but then have dumped massive subs in the trunk, you want to put heavy ass chrome wheels (in fact you insist on them ) (easily 30+lbs w/o tires)...Yet you have no desire to make the car handle better
which in my opinion should always be priority #1, because its safer and more fun to drive a good handling slow car than just a rocket sled. You also don't seem to believe that maybe some money directed at maintainance would help what's wrong with your car.

I have been maintaining my car to the ultimate degree, based on Honda's schedule they mail me....maintenance HAS been and IS being taken care of; the sub box, is, true, in my trunk and is heavy...the chrome rims I havent put on and have been considering their weight, but I have been complaining about this engine's slow ass trip to 60MPH WAY BEFORE I dropped the sub box in there----and I know a ton of people who complain about this car's acceleration to sixty, as well, so it cant be just me.

It is your money and you should do what you want with it. Just realize no matter what you do, it will be slow, it will look old and with the mods you plan, it will be an old car with tons of money that still doesn't make you happy.

Probably true, but I was asking opinions on the accessories, originally, thats all....do you honestly think this 6th gen two door is considered "old" already? In many ways, she doesnt look too outdated when looking at her next to the 7th gen....I mean, its not a night and day style difference.

I repeat sell your car for $12 grand and buy a used luxury car....this is what you have repeatedly dreamed that your car was in your previous posts....

What do you mean I have "repeatedly dreamed my car was in previous posts"? When did I say that? What are you referring to?

Why didn't I post this before. Because at the time I felt AF had addressed your points well. So no need for redundancy. I am tired of you repeatedly asking the same question in hopes that someone out there will eventually validate your dreams and opinions. It's not likely. most of the gang here is into performance and then show...

Ummmmm....okay.....I dont know what you are talking about with these dream references but okay.....

BTW Despite the fact that I'm a physician in training, my present car is a used accord and my next car will be an even older used vehicle likely BMW or Jag, and it will likely be thoroughly hooked up for performance and looks. Does that make me "ghetto"?

Good for you. What do you want me to say? If I had more time to actually ponder your ridiculous inquiry right here, I would say yes, it would make you ghetto, depending on which way you go with the hooking up process, but thats what I think....

Was that intelligent enough for you?

Sure. No need to challenge intelligence levels here, though because I dont really think you want to go that route....thank you
