Youde have to be pretty stupid to pay markup on a car just because it was new. What it comes down to is that the srt-4 is 19,995 and the wrx is a few thousand more. The srt-4 will beat the wrx in a straight line 9 times outta 10 with good drivers. The wrx does feel like a better built car, but Subaru is not known for excellent manufacturing in general and their cars (Impreza included) tend to be very problem prone.
