Why would you turn your headlights off and run fogs to "see where you are going?" How can that provide more light? I see these moron kids all over the place here in the metro NY area doing this too----like driving with regular headlights isnt cool enough for them; they GOTTA make a statement by running just fogs...even if its PITCH black outside.
Seeing as though you are from Long Island you should know at least something about poor weather. When it is snowing heavily or even dense with fog, the regular headlamps on a car can decrease your visibility. Sometimes it is better to drive with no lights on at all.
Fog lights are designed to aim their light output to countter act the negative effect of conventional headlamps when visibility is poor.
