connect the power to any constant 12 volt source... the radio memory wire is a good choice.
The accessory wire from the ign switch will ground out when the key is off... I say the accessory wire because if you connect to one of the ignition wires the LED will be flashing if you're sitting in your car listening to music with the key in the accessory position... that'd be pretty ghetto if you ask me.
