if turbo's are so bad for your engine and the aren't reliable, etc... why are there so many of them out there on factory built cars? semi trucks dont use superchargers, neither do those old diesel mercedes (dont know the model.) Turbos are more economical and reliable I think, or else we would see alot more of them. Also, turbos are way more fun to show off . (blow off valve, and you can hear it spool up) thats just my opinion.
