I'm new to these forums but I have to say it looks like a lot of great info!
I tried searching for what I need but didn't have any luck so I'm hoping an expert on the subject might chime in and help.
I have a friend who just picked up a '94 Integra hatchback and wants to replace the OEM stereo (no surprise right?)
I helped him pick out a nice Pioneer Premier MP3 deck but realized I have no idea how it installs. I've done several car stereo installs in my days, but no Hondas or Acuras.
I know I can get the stuff that I need cheaper than Crutchfield offers, but they have the slick mastersheets that have diagrams included. The install kit they show seems to have a 1/2 DIN opening in addition to the standard DIN opening for either an EQ or you put a cover over it. I thought it might be a pocket or something.
Click for Crutchfield's install kit
Should I use theirs or should I get one from SoundDomain.com (or somewhere else)? Sounddomain's looks to include a pocket, but not a rear support.
Clicky!
Also, how does the old one come out? I couldn't find any install directions (installdr.com doesn't have what I need).
Thanks in advance for any info!
Matt
