i'm assuming u are talking about a V6 eclipse? if not then whats the point of even racing the I4 vs. v6.. howeva if u are talking V6 vs. V6 then the eclipse would still lose they arent that great besides an auto vs the manual no comp. w/o major mods (tranny cooler, torque converter, new gearing, etc.)
