BOOSTED H22
Dude, Its been a while. But I helped install turbo's on 2 Accords in my whole life.(Note :I just Helped I didnt do it.) First thing off..You need to drop the compression in the motor. At least to a 8:1 ratio. I could go on forever about rods and piston's but you'll figure it out.. Get your hands on a Supra Fuel pump no problem there (Junk Yard). Injectors , heard people dumping 45 pounders in the motor. A good clutch a nice race clutch nothing harsh you dont need to snap CV axles doing burn outs.. Oh a known problem I've come across was trying to fool Map sensor..I've seen people use little test filters to reduce the line pressure to the Map..But from there on your in a whole new world messing with the ECU..They make Turbo manifolds for them no need for custom..I believe FMAx or Greddy makes them..This set up was from a T3/T04 hybrid setup...These were the things I did to help.Let me tell ya..It's a pain we barely had enough room for it all. Oh yea we snatch a intercooler up from one of those old Conquest, They're pretty big intercoolers for being factory.Personally I wouldnt recommend a Turbo for H22...Keep it simple and clean with a nice supercharger..At least that way you won't have to change the Texas tea out every 2000 miles...or sooner. Oh...Overheating the motor was another issue too..Yea dude if your gona spend the 3000 bucks for a H22a might as well spend another 3 or 4 g's and do it right and get a super charger..You will at least push 250 hp or more..I think I'm babbling again. Sorry I didnt make any sense.
