I wouldn't trip on it too much bro, and no need to make up any story or anything. It sounds to me like they are trying to cutback a little bit so just talk to her about it again. Tell her you were thinking about it and that you could benefit from another day off, but let her know too that if they still need you to work 6 days a week, it wouldn't be a problem.
