you're not making much sense to me- you said that ls/vtecs were not a good idea yet you talk about b20 blocks with vtec heads. be aware that the b20 and b18a blocks are different.
this article has been out for a while and I have discussed it many times. this article is a true example of considering the source of the information before you treat it as gospel.
the main point I have against it is that the rpm range that is detrimental to any setup, but especially lsvtecs or crvtecs is not the rpm range most mild-moderately modified setups will ever see. I dont see the point personally in building an engine to withstand a nuclear bomb when you're only gonna use a peashooter on it, if you get my analogy.
