your analogy makes some sense..........however its missing a critical detail.

how about before you and your lone willing neighbor infiltrate his house and hold him at gunpoint you get the ENTIRE neighborhood together and demand he give up all his weapons, then, after he's given a chance all of you speculate that perhaps he's holding some back, so you decide to search his house, never the entire house, just one room one day, then maybe a closet a few days later, and you let him know where and when you're going to search.........or at the least walk very very slowly. you've already mentioned the neighbor is threatening........would you say that you trust both his will and your searches?

also you might want to assume that he abuses his family to get them to go along with his wishes, and that you feel if you did shoot him none of them would retaliate or prosecute you........except for one of his kids perhaps.......who he feeds well, never raises a hand to, and trusts with his intimate details and protection. do you trust the kid too?
