i have a 98 gsr, and when i try to take it up to redline, the engine wont go past 6500 rpm. everything seems to go fine and it feels like its pulling well, but once it hits 6500 rpm it gives up and doesnt wanna go any further. the two possible causes i've heard are the distributor or a clogged fuel filter. is there anything else i should look for? my engine has about 59K miles on it and i'm slowly getting all the required maintenance done to it. i would really like to resolve the problem myself instead of shelling out a rediculous amount of money to have some shop diagnose the problem for me, but if worse comes to worse, i guess thats what it might come down to. any and all help would be appreciated.
