Only problem is that the probable cause for stopping a car with tinted "illegal windows" is a great pretext for looking for someone who is intoxicated. If you're driving drunk, and you have tinted windows (in CA), you might be pulled over just for your windows.

I was pulled over for my tinted windows in my town but was subsequently "let go" without a warning. My tinted windows are illegal in CA, but I firmly believe that the Officer was doing a "deuce check."
