Probably. I went to Just Brakes and they wanted to tell me to replace my calipers on both sides of the car, even though only one was supposedly bad. Then he said it looks like I needed a new master cylinder. All on a 2002 w/ 70,000 miles. So yeah, they could indeed be jerkin his chain. I would buy the stuff you put in the engine @ each oil change and call it a day.
