I received a letter less than a year ago that said my car was one of many 1999 Honda Accords that had been recalled due to some issue within the steering column (ignition switch) that causes the car to become excessively hot and/or stall.
If your not the original owner or you've moved since you bought the car and didn't inform Honda of your new address then you wouldn't have been notified. All owners of recalled vehicles(includes anyone Honda was unable to notify) are entitled to receive the necessary replacement and repair free of charge at any Honda dealer.
