yeah they would.....just like patching a tire....the tires integrity is completely compromised and voids most of the implied warranties that go along with it, but it's better than paying for a new tire....no speed rating is guaranteed on a patched tire......it's just that jumping one will USUALLY not hurt anything, but it can.....any shock to the electrical system is potentially bad....not like we don't all do it anyway though...i'm not walking
