Wow, this is a thread from the past.
Well it was my experience that it would be ok to wait. I drove around like that for a while. What I ended up doing was pulling the VTEC solinoid plug (or something like that) and sprayed it with a shot of electronics cleaner I have here (used on airplane electronics). I then reset the ECU and it hasnt come back since.
