You ahhhh, really sure about the math their. One click of my mouse and I can get them shipped to my door for $500 brand new, fact anyone in the whole country can get them shipped to their door for $500 brand new.
Now the tires he has would cost $434 to ship to my door from victoriatire (includes shipping and california tax). Add $100 to have them mounted and balanced. (Tire price is $88 per tire)
SO,
$500 for the rims new
$535 to get the tires and have them mounted and balanced.

Thoughout the years, I've noticed on thing in general concerning used rims. They almost always suffer heavy depreciation, even if in like new shape. Considering the condition of his rims, the cut tire and depreciation factory. $500 would be a generous offer and he should be willing to negotiate off that to a degree. How he treats the $500 amount a loose target price will decide if he sells them or if they remain unsold. Things that aren't priced right, don't sell for a reason and things that are sell quick for a reason.
