My Advice: Try to get the EX moonroof pulled from a car at a salvage yard (give
www.partsadventure.com a try for a broader salvage search). If you are lucky enough to locate one, try to find a dealer that will install the OEM part from a salvaged car into your car.
Peep my website (Sound Dampening page) to see what the removed sunroof of a 5th gen looks like. That biitch comes right out with the removal of about 8 10mm bolts!
Shocked the hell outta me when I was trying to sounddampen my roof. I undid 8 bolts or so and pulled out this "tub" on the roof. I then looked up thinking "I didn't leave the sunroof open, did I?" Turned out I had removed the damn sunroof assembly!
That's okay. I got that sunroof nice and sounddampened while it was out. Layer on the bottome, and inside. As well as a layer on the actual roof of the car itself!
