Residency sucked. I graduate in 2 months. Have accepted an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology position at well ranked academic hospital in the south. I'll be in charge of training residents as well as supervising other anesthesia personnel. Very lucky to get that great job.
Medical school, and especially residency has been one of the hardest things I've ever been through. My mental and physical health have taken a hit over the past 8 years. Thankfully, my life will be substantially better basically overnight here in a few months. I'm thankful to have survived and very much looking forward to a rewarding (and lucrative) career. But my god I'm in so much debt.
