Or maybe you remember my thread a little while back. However, I don't know if my solution works on a 5th gen. I took $0.85 to Home Depot and returned with a nut, bolt, and washer combo. (I think I went with 1/2 inch.) The bolt was a gradually rounded head, and I sanded it to remove the numbers, then primed and painted it with my spray paint. I couldn't get the mast out, so I jammed it down in the trunk and pulled the wires to disable it. Then I put this little nut and bolt combo in place, and voila! a clean looking plug. No problems yet, and a whole lot easier/cheaper than replacing the q panel.
