Problem: I havea ticking noise that varies with the alternator. The noise is present even if I unhook the incoming RCA wires into the amp. If I turn off my radio the noise is still there.

The noise started right after I tried switching the speaker output wires from my amp.. to bridge the 4 channels to 2 channels. I tried switching them back but the noise is still there.

I think the noise is being picked up by the speaker wires...

amp: Eclipse 3640.

Any help on how to get rid of this noise?
