ya whatever, w/ the oils today having better detergents & filters doing a better job, you can't just "look" at the oil & see it being dirty.
i do a mix of city & hiway and always reach 5K by 4 months, so whenever it turns 5K it gets done. easier math than figuring out numbers divisible by 3
anybody remember that story about a Chevy truck driven 100K miles in 1yr & Pennzoil bought it for research? that vehicle was maintained & ALL records documented, w/ NO DAMAGE to moving parts. to have a good laugh, GM had ppl change their oil upto 12K miles & tranny service at 100K miles back in the 80s.
